“Triple Threat”

Sunday was a great day for sure.

It was Juneteenth…so a celebratory day for the BLM movement and the (for the most part) downfall of radical thinking in the good ole USA…I did say MOST PART.

Sunday was also Father’s Day. I guess for most people that’s a thing but for me, ehhh, just another day. Being a product of absentee fatherhood I always saw it as a holiday that didn’t vibe with my life. Since becoming a father not much has changed. I don’t feel like I should be celebrated for doing what I’m supposed to do…being present, providing, educating not indoctrinating & not running from my responsibilities.

Sunday was also the first time I’d been to a show in YEARS. I chose something off the beaten path and it was well worth it. I went and saw Psyclon Nine downtown and it was for sure a fucking banger! Definitely out of my element: me being a metalcore, death metal & grindcore type of guy. It was full fledge industrial. It had been years since I’d heard them and was a welcomed experience for my first show in awhile.

So…the triple threat was a success. I have a happy.
