“Another Day In The Books”

This is the face of a guy who is by no means surprised that things happen in life and there’s little to no control that you have over them. Today was another prime example of that cosmic truth.

We blew out and then SHREDDED a tire during our route in BFE nowhere Tappahannock Virginia and we were left stuck for over two hours and had to drop a bunch of work on other people. That made me feel pretty shitty.

Add to that we didn’t complete all the stops on our route due to the aforementioned shenanigans, we also got caught in a torrential downpour that made it next to impossible to drive safely and get to the businesses we had drops for.

I’m not going to beat myself up over it but I will say that I’m disappointed. It matches with yesterday, day one, where the trainer and I had to take on extra work from another driver because he backed out of a driveway and basically murdered a goat…a fucking GOAT.

How do you back out of a DRIVEWAY and execute a goat with a box truck? How fast were you moving?

So two days in and both days have been speckled with fuckery and odd happenings…it may be a sign that I need to keep looking while I’m still working there. On the plus side, just before the tire fiasco, I did manage to capture something pretty in someone’s yard…

A pretty garden in the roundabout driveway. Then I got the following view as well…

That field was epic as all get out. So even though stupid things happened today there was something positive to be seen along side it.
